Service and Repair Manager

Responsibilities Summary/objective The Service and Repair Manager is a hands-on manager that makes in house-repairs and coordinated repairs of specialized equipment in each department such as Lighting, Rigging, Networking equipment, Audio equipment, LED video, projection, camera, and general A/V equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Advanced knowledge of entertainment technology equipment maintenance and repair.

Strong Ability to prioritize and multi-task Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal reporting and responsibility Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with individuals across a wide variety of skill sets and disciplines.

Analytic and critical thinking skills.

Ability to solve complex problems Ability to be creative in approach to repairing equipment in a limited time period Essential functions Oversees and performs technical maintenance and repair of PRG inventory to manufacturer operating standards.

Coordinates with various department leads on repair needs for equipment that is scheduled for normal Quality Control checks and routine maintenance.

Outsource repairs as needed.

Responsible for inspection of all items that are listed as needing repair Responsible for the Repair and Parts budget tracks all internal and client damages Responsible for purchasing all technical supplies, tools, repair parts, common parts, and other such supplies necessary to keep equipment operational to the set standards Responsible for customer service phone calls and correspondences Part of the Emergency after-hours support group.

Competencies High proficiency in manual trade such as electrical and electronic repair Must possess excellent interpersonal, clear verbal and written communication.

Must have demonstrated time management skills and be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced multi-task environment with minimal supervision.

Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment with ability to adapt positively to changes in the work setting with ease Ability to supervise individuals and meet deadlines Physical demands Ability to lift up to 75lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Other duties Other duties as needed or assigned by the General Manger or Operations Manager Testing and configuring equipment for client preps Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Availability to work overtime during peak seasons Participation in the technical on-call rotation for after-hours support Qualifications 5 years of demonstrated successful experience in entertainment technology maintenance and repair.

College of Vocation Education in Electronical Engineering or similar is preferred Computer Skills General spreadsheet, email, and database software Riser diagrams and other CAD software a plus PRG assets management software EEO and Disclosure PRG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
