Driving incremental growth in the laboratory testing market focused on ID/AST (identification / antibiotic susceptibility testing) instrumentation.

We hope you’ll see yourself here, too!In this role, you will have the opportunity to:* Accurately anticipate the needs of customers and execute on a sales strategy to help us become the technical vendor of choice by directing and developing the sales team.* Use your experience in sales effectiveness to effectively position our solutions (hardware, reagents, systems and applications) in the Microbiology space.* Drive and own core growth by both footprint expansion and retaining and growing base business by working with your team to implement sales strategies with excellence.* Lead a team of sales associates that all manage laboratory customers within their territory, prioritizing sales activities that focus on innovative “Challenger” messaging that maintain existing business and drives incremental growth.* Manage the teams account planning process as well prepare and execute business reviews through established standard work* Implement and own the sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals* Work remotely in your home office; and work with customers in the field jointly with your sales associates* Travel to customer locations where you will have to stay overnight.* Through solid market and competitive knowledge, develop and execute creative strategies to influence the decision criteria and utilize winning tactics to close the sale.* Effectively link Beckman Coulter’s Microbiology solutions to the customers’ technical, financial and business needs.* Strategically leverage internal and external resources including Service, Applications, Field Product Specialists, Leadership and Client Services to build and execute agreed upon strategy.* Manage sales funnels through Salesforce.com, track metrics, and report analytics on Region PerformanceEssential Requirements:* Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years exp.

OR Master’s degree with 7+ years exp.* Experience directly leading a sales team in a complex selling environment (Hospital and/or Laboratory Experience Preferred) with documented results.* Four plus years of direct sales experience in a hospital or laboratory.* Must be willing to travel 50% of the time and have excellent time management habits.* Strong ability to coach/manage account plans weekly, lead the team diligently within the sales cycle activities, prepare for and deliver business reviews effectively (both with customers and internally).It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:* Solid understanding of tactical sales skills: prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers; we strongly prefer this experience in laboratory diagnostics.* Strong executive presence, communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly, concisely and accurately conduct a technical presentation.* Highly organized with strong program and sales management skills.* Has strong follow up and follow through skills and highly motivated and success driven within a team environment.* Individuals who have had direct experience selling to or working as a laboratory technologist in clinical microbiology is a plus.#LI-GC1#LI-RemoteBeckman Coulter, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to associates’ and their families’ lives.
