Manager, Supply Planning (Hybrid)

Light & Wonder

This is a Full-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted May 7, 2022.

The Manager, Supply Planning will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of core global supply chain processes; including supply and inventory planning to support the demand plan, as well as production and installation capacity management to improve cash flow and maintain supply continuity. This role will create and maintain analytical forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sourcing, procurement, operations, and other sources. This individual will aggregate the global supply requirements for products across phases of the life cycle with a focus End-of-Sale (EOS) / End-of-Life (EOL).

Key to this role is the ability to analyze and model various demand/supply scenarios using available data and key assumptions as well as resolving supply/inventory issues for various products in collaboration with customer service, supply chain, operations, procurement, engineering, and finance.   This position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of the procurement and planning processes and is capable of troubleshooting process failures and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Expand and maintain Inventory Excess & Obsolete (E&O) management processes to ensure cross-functional alignment to platform ramp-down strategies. Will regularly communicate exposure changes and identify actions/scenarios needed to mitigate risk and adhere to aligned plan.

  • Analyze and anticipate global market trends utilizing demand plans and through scenario planning to appropriately size markets and safety stocks of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

  • Responsible for developing the global supply plan to improve forecasting and communication with suppliers to ensure production continuity against short- and long-range plans.

  • Develop and execute inventory management strategies that support revenue growth, minimize risk of E&O, while balancing priorities of service level, inventory and operational efficiencies within a quarterly planning horizon.

  • Drive planning and process improvements to enhance and implement best practices across the supply planning functions, to improve and optimize flows, reduce risks and raise quality levels.

  • Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans and recommendations for corrective action to secure supply and service levels. Identify and communicate constraints that may impact the achievement of the business demand.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (sales and demand planning, finance, engineering, product management, and logistics) to lead discussions, meetings & supply reviews.

  • Develop tools to assist with make/buy decisions and future modeling.

  • Analyze and recommend appropriate safety stock and surge stock levels.

  • Tracks and analyzes forecast accuracy metrics and measurements to determine and minimize root causes of supply chain error.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience. 

  • APICS, CPIM or CPM certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, product development, project management, and global supply chain partners.

  • Experience in end-of-life management.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and building/developing reports.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills as well as the ability to manage large data sets.

  • Ability to seamlessly communicate and elevate issues with corrective actions that require the leadership’s attention and input

  • Strong excel and report development skills

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen

Physical Requirements: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
