Manager, Group Reservations – Front Desk

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

This is a Contract position in Las Vegas, NV posted November 23, 2021.

The Group Reservations Manager oversees the creation and delivers a world-class experience with all Sales & Convention Group Bookings at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage group room blocks and maintain inventory controls.
  • Oversee and coordinate any Celebrations, Leisure, Catering Services and Sales reservations and group bookings.
  • Correspond with group contacts in a timely and professional manner while cultivating relationships to enhance the group experience.
  • Create, maintain and analyze reports on group booking, conversion rates, block utilization, etc.
  • Communicate pertinent information to operating departments and group contacts to set expectations and create a successful program.
  • Attend site inspections, pre-convention meetings, client housing meetings, and other meetings as requested.
  • Guide and support group reservations employees and support front office employees in daily responsibilities.
  • Review departmental guest complaints and take corrective action to resolve.
  • Provide exceptional guest service.
  • Maintain strong collaborative interdepartmental relationships with all areas of the resort including but not limited to Catering, Conference Services, Convention Sales, Leisure Sales, Front Office, Housekeeping and Resort Services employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • At least three years previous hotel/casino reservations experience.
  • At least two years in a fast paced, luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Passkey, Delphi and LMS experience.
  • At least four years related experience and/or training.

  • Prolonged standing and mobility, up to 7 hours per day.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Repetitive movement with keyboard typing.
  • Strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Basic math.
  • Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
