HR Manager

Primm Valley Resorts and Casino

This is a Full-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted November 24, 2021.

The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes and maintains department records and reports via the HRIS systems.
Conducts audits of HR and compensation transactions, data entry or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
Processes personnel action forms as needed and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
Develops Employee Communications, to include (but not limited to) quarterly newsletter, holiday announcements.
Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Develops and administers various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel.
Rewrites job descriptions as necessary;
Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies, procedures and user guides (employee handbook, applicant tracking system, HRIS).
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Performs all duties in compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
Assists in hiring process when needed, by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews and reference checks.
Prepares new-hire paperwork to include offer letters, onboarding paperwork, required licensing, etc.
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department, such as the HR Calendars.
Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Management.
​ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years HR experience in a role with systems responsibility.

High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or technical school course work or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

Requires valid driver’s license.
