The Director, Program Management is responsible for planning and orchestrating educational programs. The Director, Program Management is a leader, and is a program manager with an innate ability to get things done.” They will lead direct reports for the implementation of programs and activities involving Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). They will manage client expectations for program activities and He/she is responsible for implementing and executing these programs. They forge relationships with IP, Accounts and clients to ensure program specific needs are delivered both within budget and in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administrative
- Perform basic administrative duties such as data entry, scheduling and coordination of projects
Client Relations
- Provide support across internal client teams and vendors
Team Management
- Provide a day-to-day guidance and oversight of all projects for the team
Team Management & Development
- Provide guidance and support to the staff and assist in training, development, mentoring and management of the team.
Project Management
- Lead and manage day to day projects to ensure smooth delivery of programs and deliverables for specific account teams
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of direct reports, providing day-to-day guidance and oversight. Ensure they are trained and follow company and client-specific Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participate in budgets by providing program specific costs and give feedback on budgets created by IP/Accounts.
- Assist supervisor with assignments to Program Managers based on workload and account needs and ensuring appropriate work distribution across direct reports.
- Execute the companys most complex programs, projects and activities involving KOLs. Recruit, secure and contract and serve as primary liaison with external faculty and KOLs for all program management tactics.
- Comfortably handle multiple projects for multiple teams concurrently.
- Identify and manage outside vendors for all logistical activities (e.g. meeting planners both internal and external, web vendors, etc.)
- Manage speaker bureau portal and/or client speaker databases and oversee vendor that maintains the system (speaker bureau or client specific portals)
- Participate in team Job Opening Meetings (JOM), and ensure that Program Management activities and estimate are accurate for program.
- Update and participate in internal and client status meetings for assigned projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of the PhRMA code, Sunshine Act and client specific HCP reporting.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors in Business, Communications, or Meetings-Related Field
EXPERIENCE
- 4 years Pharma or Agency Medical Communications
- 1 year Managerial Experience

- Microsoft Excel – Familiarity to perform basic functions and formulas
