Director of Brand Marketing – eCommerce

Neato is a full service eCommerce agency that helps major retail brands sell better on marketplaces. We collaborate with businesses during critical growth phases to provide marketplace management, distribution, control, and content creation towards quantifiable growth of marketplace sales channels. As a top 1000 storefront on Amazon we help brands tame the hardest to control sales channels on the internet at the highest level. As a data driven company, Neato finds solutions through analysis of consumer and market trends to mitigate risk to our partnered brands.

We are seeking a CPG based marketing guru to craft stories, customer journeys, and experiences for our brand partners customers on Amazon and beyond. This job is the opportunity to work with a wide variety of brands that sell their products on Amazon to figure out how we turn eyeballs into add-to-cart clicks. The job will enjoy a plethora of creative freedoms and give you the opportunity to work closely with a vast array of specialties in our company from our amazing creative team to our growing advertising specialists. Bold, inventive, and “holy sh*t” ideas that WOW everyone around you should be the norm. We are looking for an organized but out of the box thinker to help our brands sell better online. Most importantly will be responsible for crafting the program for the next generation of brands that sign up for Neato’s partnership program to succeed. This job is not for the faint of heart. We are looking for a talented, and highly motivated, collaborative individual looking to make a large impact on a rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities

  • Set marketing goals and objectives for our brands
  • Plan, implement and manage our brand partners marketing strategy
  • Define and track KPIs on a regular basis and present reports to stakeholders
  • Create and present a bi-annual marketing plan and strategy for each of our brands
  • Use data and reports to make fact-based decisions
  • Build, own, and optimize the content strategy for our brands
  • Prioritize, organize, and execute content marketing campaigns and projects
  • Build a hub and spoke content strategy to accelerate alignment and impact of each piece of content through the customers purchase journey
  • Develop account specific content marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement
  • Test, measure, and optimize content on Amazon
  • Define and execute against a clear end-to-end plan to achieve targets via promotional planning, product launches, advertising campaigns, SEO optimization, and customer experience
  • Proactively manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure that an efficient operation is delivered across the end-to-end value chain.
  • Leading by example by getting into the detail and relentlessly seeking out opportunities to drive sales and remove defects
  • Own the budgeting process and forward-looking plan for our portfolio of brands to include, sales, profit margins, and investments
  • Oversee internal digital marketing team to build and manage advertising budget to strategically grow brands
  • Be able to self learn and become and expert on what Neato does

Preferred Skill Set

  • Experienced Creative Marketer in a product based industry
  • Experienced Digital Marketer with Amazon Advertising experience
  • Proven leader in the marketing field in a digital first industry.
  • Have worked in consumer packaged goods, product marketing or branding roles.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Possess a keen eye for design and possess a strong creative voice
  • Have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and on various timelines
  • Expertise in building and developing new marketing functions
  • Expertise in developing and documenting new process and procedures
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and disciplined
  • Willing to be nimble and often cover additional responsibilities
  • Able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strongly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Experience and education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field. Masters is preferred
  • 5+ years in a CPG Marketing Role
  • 5+ years in a creative role where you produced content to sell consumer products
