Clearance Store Production Manager

This is a Full-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted March 15, 2021.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:To provide leadership for the clearance center back of the house. Works in all areas of the clearance center store under the supervision of the Clearance Store Manager. The Clearance Store Production Manager works in conjunction with the Clearance Store Manager and Operations Manager to maximize production, sales and customer service. The position will be expected to manage and develop staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Store Operation:* Maximize sales performance through proper merchandise rotation needed to meet goals, display, signage and inventory of processed merchandise. Meet or exceed sales goals on a consistent basis.* 80% of responsibilities is working in the Clearance Store Production area.* Fill in for Store Manager, when Manager is out, ensuring that cash handling and open/close procedures are strictly adhered to.* Oversee the proper handling and processing of post-clearance center processed goods, salvage goods and waste.* Maximize salvage and pulled goods processing through the proper application of GWSN techniques, including: sorting, preparing and pricing large items, glass and electronics for sale. Meet or exceed production goals on a consistent basis.* Ensure that quality customer service is presented and provided by employees in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors and other employees.* Direct, supervise, train and evaluate all associates within their center. Work daily with the Clearance Leads to ensure rotations are met and that the backroom team is working to exceed daily goals.* Maintain sales floor appearance, cleanliness and shopping environment including but not limited to: floor care, cash register, customer service areas, aisles, trash cans, lights, restrooms, glass showcase, window ledges and doors.* Maintain odor control, cash registers, doors and rest rooms are in proper working order.* Maintain appearance of building exterior and parking lot appearance, including but not limited to: windows, doors, sidewalks, parking lot lights, landscape, stray shopping carts, store entry and signage.* Ensure the clearance center floorplan matches the product mix.* Effectively communicate with the Forklift Lead all merchandise needs on a daily basis.* Work environments are usually hectic (fast paced) with frequent short deadlines and regular instances of critical or unusual situations.Asset Protection* Ensure that store and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and that safety procedures are understood and followed by all store employees.* Ensure that asset protection matters are reported and investigated accurately and in a timely manner.* Ensure proper operation of security and safety systems including, but not limited to: door locks, alarms, office door, bank deposits, refunds, safe, incident reports, fire extinguishers and cash handling procedures.* Ensure proper cash handling including enforcement of cash register procedures and submission of required fields.* Follow all safety policies, asset protection policies and team member policies, as outlined in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, Asset Protection handbook and Safety Manual.Human Resources* Hire, train, and direct the activities of store personnel to provide an efficient and effective work force. Maintain morale of work force.* Report personnel information and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.* Must train all staff reporting to them on any issues or policies and procedures needed.* Provide input for team member evaluations.* Process employee status change actions accurately and in a timely manner.* Ensure proper adherence by store staff to policies and procedures.* Intervention skills recommended by People & Organizational Development (POD), to effectively maintain discipline.* Assists in any other projects as determined by management.* Ensure compliance with all Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN) policies provided in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, Goodwill Industries International standards, and safety and security regulations.* Adhere to all GWSN Manuals, handbooks, policies and procedures.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:* Preferred BA/BS and/or minimum of 2 or more years of retail experience in supervisory role.* Must possess a working knowledge of retail and computer technology.* Must possess strong interpersonal skills through command of the English language in order to work with customers and employees.* Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.* Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility.* Must be 18 years of age or older.* Must meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards as established by the company.* Must have reliable transportation to attend trainings and meetings off site regularly.* Must be fluent in English; bilingual a plus.* Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.* Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility.* No record or disclosure of criminal conviction within 7 years from date of application that indicates a tendency towards theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior.* Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.Goodwill of Southern Nevada https://sngoodwill.isolvedhire.com
