The Sales Representative will report to the Regional Vice President and join a dedicated team of sales professionals who are all full of energy, enthusiasm and are highly driven to succeed.

Responsibilities: The Sales Representative will represent Mutual of America in a sales and marketing capacity to clients and prospects in an assigned territory with an emphasis on soliciting new group takeover plans and cross-selling other products.

Setting qualified appointments with plan sponsors of 401k and 403b plans through multiple strategies, cold calling, networking, and referrals Work within a geographic territory to cultivate new prospects, cross-sell solutions, close sales, reach and exceed goals.

Attend client review meetings with Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for the top five to ten clients in the territory to position the Sales Representative to ask clients for introductions and to be a reference for sales opportunities Required Qualifications: Having an interest in outside business-to-business sales Highly motivated to conduct outbound cold calls into prospective clients Ability to effectively communicate Strong relationship management skills Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must obtain within the first 90 days of employment Active State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within 90 days of employment Valid drivers license required Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree Proven proficiency in selling, prospecting, and presentation skills Demonstrated cold calling sales ability, with assertive, positive, and persistent style Knowledge of products underwritten by the company (401k and 403b retirement plans) Benefits: Company 401K match (3%) Comprehensive Health Plan Paid time off: 18 vacations days, plus 2 floating holidays, 5 sick days and 9 to 10 company holidays additional details about life at Mutual of America.
