Our Customer Development team works with Small Business owners to create long term, meaningful relationships to better understand their business and their entire B2B wallet.

We aspire to become a trusted advisor, an informed teacher, and a concierge to guide and improve the confusing experience of owning, managing, and growing a small business.What You’ll DoAs a Small Business Sales Consultant, you will be assisting small businesses to thrive and to grow the Spark brand in an industry changing way.

You will serve as a dedicated point of contact for Small Business SPARK Card Customers assisting them in utilizing SPARK to meet their current and future business needs.

The ideal candidate willHave an entrepreneurial spirit and serve as an advocate for our customers.Thrive working in a fast paced rapidly changing environment, acquiring and maintaining high levels of product, service and process knowledge.Be innovative, highly organized, and have a measurable, demonstrated ability to drive business results while delivering superior service to our customers.Independent, results-driven, goal-oriented, self-starters will thrive within our organization.Strong communication and active listening skillsPositive “can-do” attitude and strong work ethic.Ability to use feedback in a positive way with personal accountability.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Develop portfolio growth strategies for achieving targetsSecure 1st time phone appointments directly with clientsEngage in phone consultations with small business owners and decision makers, learn about their needs, and recommend next steps to achieve rewards goalsEffectively manage pipeline of clientsAnalyze the small business’s total business spend to identify additional opportunities to leverage the Spark cardAssist the business with incorporating the Spark card into their purchasing platform and bookkeeping software and execute spend conversion planTeach customers that their Spark card can be the primary vehicle in their buying cycle, incorporating the Spark card into their purchasing platforms and bookkeeping softwareReinforce the value proposition of the Spark cardSolicit referrals from existing customersAchieve incremental charge volume targetsCompliant in all client activities and follow up through use of Salesforce.comBasic Qualifications:At least 1 year of experience growing existing business relationships in an inside sales environmentPreferred Qualifications:3+ years experience growing existing business relationships and acquiring new customers in an inside or outside sales environment3+ years of experience in an inside or outside sales environment3+ years of experience meeting a sales metric or sales goal1+ year of experience working with Small Businesses Customers1+ year of experience in the financial industryStrong computer skills, and ability to multitask and navigate web-based toolsProficiency using Salesforce.comProficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Proficiency using Google SuiteAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this positionNo agencies please.
