This is a Full-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted September 15, 2021.

At Jersey Mikes, we offer a sub above one thats measured in more than inches or seconds til served.

We carefully consider every aspect of what we do every slice, every sandwich, every store we provide our customers with sustenance and substance too.

Jersey Mikes Team Member works in the kitchen preparing prepping and preparing subs.

Working the front counter helping customers through the ordering process.

Team member job duties include operating a cash register, following proper Jersey Mikes Policy and procedures, giving great customer service, cleaning the restaurant, and completing other assigned task.

The Team members reports to the GM/AM in their store on a daily and weekly basis. 

Keep restaurants clean Knowledge and prepare all of Jersey Mikes menu items.  Theyre expected to greet customers with a smile, take accurate orders, and keep supplies stocked.  Full time and part time depending on location  Team Member must be at least 18 years of age to use the slicer Due to the amount of responsibility required, Shift leads need to be 18 or older.  Operating a cash register, handle Money

Food Safety and Planning

 .

adhering sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.

Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.

 .

Responsible for ensuring a consistently high quality of food preparation and service. 

 .

Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper, uniforms and appearance standards. 

 .

Exhibit portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste. 

Operational Responsibilities

 .

Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.

 .

Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.

Completes accident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured.

 .

Manage shifts that include: daily decision-making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.

 .

Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.

Personnel

 .

Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. 

 .

Interview hourly employees.

Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees.

 

 .

Conduct store walk through and explain the Jersey Mike’s Subs philosophy and oversee the training of new employees. 

 .

Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews. 

 .

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs.

Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.

Community Involvement

 .

Provide strong presence in the local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel.

Accountabilities

 .

Keeps Supervisor and Franchisee promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e., problems, essential matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.

 .

Completes job responsibilities and Jersey Mike’s Subs policies and procedures.

 .

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.

 .

At all times provides a favorable image of Jersey Mike’s Subs to promote its “We Care” philosophy.

 .

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. 

Working Conditions

 .

Hours may vary if manager must fill in for his/her employees or if emergencies arise (typical work week = 48-52 hours).

 .

Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed.

 .

Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.

 .

Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
Guarantee fresh product at all times * Must be ServSafe certified.

* Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).

* Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and development of reports.

* Must possess a valid drivers license.

* Must be eligible to work in the United States.

* Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.

* Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.

* Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.

* Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.

* Must possess excellent communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.

* Ability to organize multiple tasks such as food, beverage, and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities.
