Breakdown, load, unload, catches, and properly sorts all dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area.

Wash, sort, and store pots in their proper location on shelves, larger items on the bottom shelves.

Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.

Sweep and mop all floors and wash all floor mats.

Transport garbage from kitchen areas to trash room.

Polish silver, copper and brass in all areas, as needed.

Complete all miscellaneous job assignments as directed by supervisor.

Transport plates to the Hot Lines.

Operate dish machines, using controls as instructed Ensure that all operations follow all Health, Safety, and OSHA regulations.

Regular transport of equipment such as hot and cold box, speed racks, queen mary, push carts from hallways to deliver to other outlets and facilitates as needed when asked by a Supervisor or Lead.

Retrieve all milk crates upon request throughout campus, and sort it in the warehouse dock areas for pickup by 3rd party vendor.

Use of 2-way radios to communicate with supervisor, leads Assist with inventory as needed.

Empty steam table and clean.

Delime sinks and faucets.

Oil cast iron cookware.

Unload clean dishes from racks after being processed through dish machine, inspects for cleanliness and carefully stacks in specified carts and shelves.

Load dish washing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulates the output of detergents and chemicals to the dish washing machine by monitoring and adjusting controls.

Separate and remove trash, garbage and place in designated containers and steam cleans and hoses out garbage cans.

Assist with off-property events as needed.

Assist with setups for events based on BEO requirements.

Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:
At least 6 months of related kitchen experience.

Excellent customer skills.

Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both in written and oral form.

Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum six (6) months stewarding or comparable experience to include Culinary Training Academy Certification Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Food Handlers Card Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms Ability to be efficient, detail-oriented, flexible, and fast Ability to count and track inventory Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations Working knowledge of basic kitchen equipment Knowledge of and able to use a two-way radio Able to read and write Knowledgeable in the implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures regarding safety guidelines, proper chemical usage and handling of BIO-HAZARD materials Adhere to all Health Department, OSHA, sanitations, and safety regulations to include chemical usage Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Able to wear food grade gloves to handle hot kitchenware and equipment May be required to lift up to 50 lbs., push and pull heavy carts, reach above shoulders, squat, kneel and exposure to extreme heat, steam, cold, pipe, cigar and/or cigarette smoke May require work to be conducted in very hot and cold climates Walk and stand for long periods of time daily
