At Tropicana Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, we think you’ll enjoy an exciting industry, fast paced days and nights, diverse, enthusiastic co-workers, unlimited growth and support from one of the leaders in the industry.An individual could be successful if they possess the following.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.Unlock and open drop boxes and bill validators, removing contents and rotating boxes to expose inside to camera and to co-workers. Re-lock boxes and bill validators and return to mobile cage.Segregate contents of boxes (opening/closing slips, coins, chips, and currency). Counting contents and documenting contents.Cash turn-in envelopes are sorted, opened, counted, and recorded separately by employee.Operate currency-counting machine to count bill validator and Table Game drop currency.Reconcile and verify totals and then have the totals reconciled and accepted by Cage employees.Pick up and return keys for drop boxes from the Casino Cage. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results.Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.Requires repetitive motions, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, standing, bending, teamwork, basic math skills, use of 10-key calculator, coin-counter, and currency counter. Knows hotel’s internal controls, policies, and procedures. Works in teams of 3-4 clerks.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
