Purchasing Coordinator

Affinity Surgery Center

This is a Part-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted November 25, 2021.

Affinity Surgery Center, LLC is a boutique surgery center located at Twain and Hualapai in Las Vegas (West
– near Summerlin).

We are a very successful two room surgery center that performs a significant number of surgical cases.

Given our size we are able to make employees feel like family.

We pride ourselves on working with the finest and most well respected physicians in the community and delivering the highest level of care and service to our patients/guests.

We are looking for a part-time or full-time Purchasing/Materials Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:
Daily operations surrounding the Surgery Center’s inventory.
Acquisition and receiving of supplies, equipment and services, researching product information, coordinating repairs, and assisting with the evaluation of new products.
Works collaboratively with the Director, staff, surgeons, and vendors to optimize patient care.
Sterile Processing.
Other duties as assigned.
One year of experience in an Operating Room/Surgical Services setting is required
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Sterile Processing experience preferred.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required upon hire.
One year experience in a medical facility as a materials coordinator or similar position.

Previous purchasing experience preferred.
Other information:

Must have knowledge of varied equipment systems, instrumentation, and supplies associated with surgical procedures and the fundamentals of sterile technique.
Must have a basic understanding of HIPPA rules and regulations and exhibit the ability to follow such.
Basic computer knowledge.
Accurate and effective communication and organizational skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
Basic knowledge and/or training in the process of instrument sterilization are encouraged.
