PCA Personal Care Assistant

This is a Contract position in Las Vegas, NV posted November 23, 2021.

Giving Home Health Care has a need for a Home Health Aide/Personal Care Attendant in Pahrump.

The HHA/PCA in the Las Vegas area.

Job responsibilities:

  • Will perform various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home.
  • Will be working with patients in a comfortable environment where the service is one-on-one.
  • Will work as part of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting, and documenting observations and care performed.
  • Communicate with family members and doctors as needed.
  • Performs personal care services as necessary to meet patient’s needs, such as: changing bed linens, assisting patients with dressing, undressing, skin care, toileting activities, plan and prepare nutritious meals, etc.


  • Ability to reliably commute to patients’ homes. Must reside in or commuting distance (less than 25 miles) of Pahrump.
  • Must be willing to care, advocate, and assist patients.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Meets all training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Individuals must be warm, social, and appreciates caring for others.
  • Must possess an empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, foil and the impaired.
  • Possess and maintains current CPR and first aid certifications.
  • Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.

At least 1 year home health experience required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $13.50 per hour
