About Clark County Law Foundation:
Clark County Law Foundation (CCLF) is a non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) status organized in 1993. CCLF's mission is to empower Nevada, especially our youth, through service to the community and education about the legal system andits history. Education is an essential service in our community to combat the impact of COVID-19. CCLF contributes to this effort by working with the Southern Nevada Health District and its partner organizations to increase public health awareness among Clark County's most vulnerable communities.
Position Summary:
The Outreach Specialist will assist with public health education and awareness activities tailored to underserved populations. This will include developing, implementing, and promoting community-based education initiatives and events. This position will require building community partnerships with local non-profit organizations, faith-based and business community groups, to organize outreach initiatives. Strong applicants will have knowledge of working directly with historically disadvantaged populations. The priority for this role would be to improve vaccination coverage among racial and ethnic populations experiencing disparities in vaccination rates.
Position's Primary Responsibilities:
– Conduct and promote education and awareness events to support vaccine awareness in local communities
– Develop cultural messaging using credible sources and create promotional material for program activities
– Create and oversee a monthly social media and email marketing calendar
– Create content for all emerging social media platforms to improve online engagement with community, and improve participation at program events
– Initiate and collaborate collective efforts with community partners to address vaccine access challenges
– Participate in strategy sessions with Program Director and Program Development Specialist to improve outreach strategy
– Bachelor's degree in art or social science fields or a minimum of one year of experience in community outreach
– Must be bilingual with an ability to communicate in English and Spanish
– Solid understanding and knowledge of social media channels and platforms to include Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and MailChimp.
– Experience in informative approaches to disseminating knowledge, with strong presentation skills to keep public or audiences engaged and involved.
– Experienceworking directly with communities of marginalized/underrepresented backgrounds and identities
– Preferred experience in public speaking.
