For more information, please visit our web site at is hiring for a Lead Material Handling Specialist in our Bismarck, North Dakota warehouse.DUTIESServes as team leader to ensure work processes are completed within specified standards.

Maintains inventory, ensures smooth warehouse operations, recommends continuous warehouse improvements and maintains supplies.

Maintains a positive, productive, and customer-focused environment in the warehouse.Provides leadership to foster an environment of teamwork and open communication.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment and promoting a customer focused culture and climate.

Supports team development and actively participates in the continuing development of the department.

Interfaces with all other departments as needed to meet customer needs and acts as a resource for department related questions.Plans and manages material handling and quality control functions including, but not limited to, efficient warehouse layout, proper product storage and effective coordination of inventory, warehouse and distribution activities.Responsible for inventorying and maintaining proper levels of shipping supplies.

Recommends warehouse supply vendors to Management and ensures supplies are always on hand.Researches inventory shortages/overages and suggests logical solutions to Management.Picks, packs and ships orders.Accurately pulls orders from stock based upon picking tickets and First In First Out (FIFO).Prepares orders for shipment within stated company time standards, including international shipments.Packs orders in correct and efficient manner.

Utilize proper packing methods to maximize carton space and packing material usage to prevent damage or breakage.

Correct operation of UPS system and bills of lading for all outgoing shipments.Receives inbound shipments.Verifies accuracy of shipments received into computer system and stores product in proper bin location/supply area or forwards product to shipping station.Marks or tags articles necessary for identification purposes and maintains locations in system.Resolves any problems from differences between paperwork and actual stock with appropriate department.
