JOB SUMMARY: The Land Development Contract Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination to the Land Department. Under the direction of land management, this position will assist with preparing various key documents, creating contract comparisons, coordinating various land processes, and file management as well as providing customer support to vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare/process key documents that support various land development processes such as contract spread sheets. Data input and navigation through online accounting systems to include HB1, KBTPO, etc. Provide subcontractor support regarding payments, insurance, licensing.
  • Assist with contract management for all ongoing and new land acquisition contracts or land projects under development. Prepare excel spreadsheets to compare prices and quantities on proposals.
  • Solicit bid proposals from vendor pool; ensure proper documentation and contract finalization.
  • Process change orders as necessary. Follow-up with open commitments in assistance with monthly budget adjustments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

  • 1-2 years prior administrative office experience required, including strong computer usage
  • Homebuilding, retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Prior administrative legal experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional organizational capability, including the ability to multi-task
  • Strong people skills, including the capability to handle various personalities and develop professional relationships
  • Action oriented, with the drive to push projects and tasks to successful closure
  • Proven ability of being customer centric by seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective
  • Strong verbal & written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate accurately and persuasively
  • Strong ability to work within a team-setting, inclusive of other’s ideas, and a willingness to cooperate
  • Makes quick and accurate decisions based heavily on facts, data and/or metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Work Requirements

  • Work 8-hour days with flexibility for overtime when necessary
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
  • Preparing spreadsheet to compare prices and quantities on different subcontractor proposals
  • Ensure proper bid documentation and contract finalization
  • Processing change orders as necessary
