Responsibilities FLOOR TECH LEAD ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (EVS) Northridge Hospital Medical Center The FLOOR TECH LEAD maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks, which involve operating heavy-duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment.

Assist other Floor Technicians in the proper manner of stripping and polishing floors, cleaning carpet, cleaning base, not allowing wax or materials to flow under doors.

Assist in assisting Floor Technicians in time and area planning to complete assignments in the specified times.

Ensures that the floor technicians maintain and clean their assigned equipment.

Advises floor technicians of unsafe practices or conditions.

The FLOOR TECH LEAD is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity .

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions, able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, keep simple records, or use simple office machines.

One-year experience in a lead or Supervisor capacity and one year Floor Care experience or more in Healthcare or Nursing Home.

Must have lead experience.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications Minimum one-year experience in a lead or Supervisor capacity One year Floor Care experience required.

Fire Safety card required within 90 days of hire
