Bankers Insurance, a top 100 insurance broker, has an exciting opportunity for an Employee Benefit Practice Leader.This EB Practice Leader will be responsible for managing our EB operations team and partner with EB Sales Executives to ensure we are providing the best possible service to our customers.Responsibilities:Liaison with various Sales Executives on the best, most efficient approach to effectively managing our EB client relationships and to grow our EB LOB revenueManage a team of Accounts Managers and Account Executives, providing coaching, mentoring, technical expertise, and performance management, in support of that team and LOBAssess the organization’s current team structure and make recommendations on how to make improvements, as may be requiredAssess current systems, resources, etc.

and make recommendations to management on additional resources and/or changes needed to provide exceptional, world-class service to our clients, as well as to ensure top-tier industry standards for retentionDevelop, train, educate and if needed, hire, various AMs/AEs in support of our strategic growth objectivesAssist in the development and implementation of a Strategic Plan for the Employee Benefits LOBRationalize our approach to various market segments (10-50, 50-100 and over 100, etc.) and then determine the most efficient, most profitable way for us to serve those segmentsLeverage strong EB knowledge and proven relationships with carriers to ensure the best outcome for clientsWork strategically with various Sales Executives in an effort to jointly develop strategies that best serve our clientsTrain and develop our AMs in using Benefit Administration system tool so they are highly efficient in the system with a goal of having all groups loaded into the system with commissions of > $5,000.Developstandard operating procedures that support the day-to-day administrative duties of our team.Assess potential acquisition candidates for Bankers Insurance and make recommendations of how the EB LOB of the acquisition target can or should be assimilated into Bankers Insurance.Assist with the assessment of real estate needed to support the EB LOBMust reside in our geographic footprint and have specific knowledge of the nuances of how EB accounts are serviced and sold in our primary footprint (VA, NC, etc.)Work with the Learning & Development Team to provide the necessary on-going industry-specific training needed, in addition to the system training they might needExperience Required: 5-10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team of employee benefits professionalsMust have previously served as either an Account Manager (AM) or Account Executive (AE)Must be able to think outside the box and take a strategic leadership approach in a fast-paced environment and be able to pivot, as necessary, when we need to shift our focusMust be well versed with various Benefit Administration systems (like Employee Navigator)College degree preferred
