Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is looking for a Broadcast Systems Design engineer to support our Las Vegas, Nevada office.

This position will report to BMG’s Sr.

Vice President of Engineering.

The Broadcast Systems Design engineer will be responsible for working on system proposals, designing systems, maintaining and troubleshooting broadcast equipment, assisting with integration projects, and working on remote production assignments as needed.

We are looking for a well-rounded Broadcast Systems design engineer who can create equipment lists, engineering signal flow synoptic diagrams and rack elevations.

A complete understanding of broadcast and IT network technology is essential.

This position will be expected to develop systems designs in AutoCAD.

Working independently at a high level is a requirement.

This position will lead integration projects such as planned system upgrades, new facility design, equipment maintenance, and consult on future technical expansion for internal and external clients.

The position will make equipment recommendations, and price out projects to include equipment cost, labor hours/cost and develop project timelines.Responsibilities:Manage integration projects of both small and large scaleDesign Broadcast systems including, CAD Drawings, Equipment List, Pricing, Labor hours and TimelinesAble to terminate video, audio, control and network cablesWork independently or with external vendors on integration projects and supporting equipment commissioning and trainingAble to positively interface with clients, BMG business development, and install teamsAssist with planned system upgrades and expansion of projectsPerform customer equipment maintenance as needed, occasionally working outside of normal business work hoursProvide technical support for technical facilities within the production environment and ensure all equipment is running correctly on BMG client productionsManage integration projectsWiring systems including terminating video, audio, control and network cablesWork independently or with external vendors on integration projects and supporting equipment commissioning and trainingAssist with planned system upgrades and expansion of BMG projectsPerform customer equipment maintenance as needed, occasionally working outside of normalbusiness work hoursSupport BMG’s Business Development efforts in developing proposals, preliminary plans, budgets and equipment list along with attending client meetings Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of broadcast systems design experienceAutoCAD CertifiedKnowledge of live and REMI production environmentsUnderstanding of system integration techniques, project schedules, and project budgetsStrong knowledge of IP Video and REMI systemsStrong work ethic and ability to work independentlyAbility to work late shift and weekends as neededAbility to travel for project-based assignments as neededPluses:Knowledge of encoding for live programmingHands-on experience with Ross production switchersKnowledge of remote broadcast technologyKnowledge of Satellite and fiber transmissionsCamera Set-Up and Video Camera Shading (V1)Employment Type: Full TimeYears Experience: 5 10 yearsBonus/Commission: No
