Job Description
Our client, an A+ Rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add an AVP, Excess & Surplus Commercial Property Underwriter that would have the ability to work remotely full-time! This person would be responsible for underwriting Complex Shared and Layered Property Risk which includes negotiating renewal terms, managing policy changes and maintaining company records.
- Technical underwriting which includes risk selection, exposure evaluation and utilizing pricing tools while operating within company guidelines.
- Prepare quotes, binders, and policies; stay abreast of market trends, competition and products.
- Responsible for achieving renewal and loss ratio goals as assigned.
- Prepare accounts for modeling and also prepare referrals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Commercial Property Underwriting Experience
- 5+ years of E&S Underwriting experience
- Well-versed in underwriting Complex Shared and Layered Risk
- Proven track record of building strong business relationships with brokers and agents
- Strong communication, analytical skills, and business acumen
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Salary/Benefits
- $180,000 to $200,000 plus Lucrative Bonus Incentive
