Appraiser Review Specialist

Cornerstone First Mortgage

This is a Full-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted June 9, 2021.

The Collateral Underwriter performs complex and confidential administrative duties, reviews DU/LPA for any red flags, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

:

* Utilizing the Collateral Underwriting LOS/Loan Collateral Advisor/LOS, the CUW will underwrite collateral in the order in which the Appraisal is returned by the appraiser.
* Follow loan and investor specific checklists and guidelines ensuring all risk is accounted for and mitigated.
* Identify any missing or incomplete pieces of data within the appraisal or supporting documents.
* Formulate an opinion regarding both the quality of the Appraisal and the rationale used by the Appraiser to determine value.
* Notify the Appraiser of any necessary revisions or updates to the appraisal required by Cornerstone.

Requirements

:

* High school diploma, college degree preferred
* Minimum of three years appraisal review experience using G.S.E. appraisal guidelines
* Encompass experience
* Excellent interpersonal skills i.e. oral and written communication skills
* Possess strong organizational and analytical skills
* Heavy multi-tasking
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, Collateral Underwriter, as well as strong Internet research skills
* Detail-oriented
