Quality Lab Technician

Actalent is currently seeking lab technicians to assist with quality seed testing on incoming raw materials and finished products for a leading crop science company in Lubbock, TX.

Job Summary: Perform visual quality inspection on seed samples Perform basic laboratory tests
– pH, viscosity, protein count, moisture testing, and titrations Perform warm and cool germination testing Perform purity analysis of seeds Perform seed counts Weighing seeds and cotton fibers Ho urs: 7am-5:30pm and 5pm-3:30am (Rotating Shifts) Must be open and able to work any day of the week (Sunday-Saturday)
– Will only be scheduled up to 50 hours/week Must be open to work 1st and 2nd shift Qualifications: High School Diploma REQUIRED Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in a major science (Agriculture, Natural Sciences, Chemistry, Biology) is a plus Prefers 0-3 years of related experience in a lab setting Previous agriculture or harvesting experience is a plus Please contact me if interested aadjeiactalentservices.com About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
