Rocky Research provides quality professional services and new product development, design, prototyping, and electronic manufacturing of thermal and energy management products for heating, cooling, refrigeration, and high-density hardware systems including power management and variable speed drives to the military and commercial industries.

Key Responsibilities
· Perform thermal analysis, heat transfer analysis, stress analysis, cost estimation, test and measurement system design, and vendor management
· Assist prototype builds and testing
· Support a team of engineers in the design and selection of components for thermal and/or power management systems.

· CAD based modeling using SolidWorks
· Other activities as assigned YOU MUST HAVE
· Bachelors Degree in Engineering
· 2+ years of experience designing or analyzing thermal or power management systems; a higher degree can substitute for 2 years of experience
· Ability to obtain DOD security clearance WE VALUE
· Experience with diesel engine performance and design
· Experience with creating custom vapor compression systems that are compact and light weight
· Experience with alternate phase change materials
· Experience with generating electrical power using an automotive or aircraft engine
· Transient thermal and fluid modeling capability using tools such as ANSYS, Fluent, CF Design, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.

· Willingness to take initiative and work along side technicians to get prototype builds done and tested
· Experience selecting sensors and hardware for DAQ systems in prototype environment
