100% remote – Senior C#/F# developer

Iris’s client, one of the world’s Largest Financial Firm is looking to hire for a long term contract opportunity.

Work location: Whippany, NJ ( remote )

Client is looking for a Senior C# or F# consultant who’s willing to work on F#.

Project start from scratch on F#.

Overall Project:

Market Risk – building new platform (all asset classes including equities, credit, macro, FRTB)

This developer will gather requirements from the risk managers and work on the development of the application

All positions are hands as part of team but depending on level of experience may also delegate the work into smaller pieces to other developers

What application does:

Risk engines creating risk data, and what should be logical trades, hierarchy of those trades, which desks to be attributed

Run stresses – hypothetical scenarios on the markets and valuations, what is sensitive to market conditions and exposure which will simulate different conditions to valuations of portfolios which can be shown by geographies, locations etc…

Developing trading infrastructure to make it work – adjust trading strategy based on this information

Calculations can be run daily sometimes more

F# – You can model your domain properly and organize the sequence of steps

MUST:

Will look at Senior candidates from computer science backgrounds

The candidate must be interested in learning functional programming in F# as they will teach this if coming from another language

Will look at candidates who have developed in C# serverside in the past who want to learn a new language

Must have strong algorithm, data structure, and objected oriented experience in C#

Everything is Windows based application development

Database knowledge – SQL or NOSQL – MongoDB is that is used now

Domain Experience in either financial services or investment banking
