Site/Program: Based out of DSCS Administrative Office.

Reports to: Director of Human ResourcesCompensation: $58,000 annual.

Full-time, non-exempt position.

To learn more about our organization’s model and impact, we encourage you to watch the following video.Position Summary:Dolores Street Community Services, a progressive social justice organization dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society, is seeking a Human Resources Associate.

DSCS is in its 40th year of operation with almost 150 employees and a budget of $14.5 million dollars.

This role is responsible for supporting a range of programs including learning and development, employee communications, and employee engagement.

The individual in this role will support effective and efficient operations of the DSCS human resource department.

The role will be working in-office presence in San Francisco.

Duties and Responsibilities:Performs recruitment by phone screening, arrange and participate some interviews, and check references.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.Performs periodic audits of HR files, records, and posters to ensure that all requirements are accurate.Assist with payroll functions including employee questions, collecting signature, printing and distributing checks.Assists with new hire orientation preparation, badge creation, new hire tech support.Lead the Employee Appreciate Committee.

Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee events, holiday parties, and celebrations.Responds to employment verification requests.

Back-up Reception as needed.Translates Spanish/English as needed.Other Organizational DutiesConduct business in accordance with the DSCS Employee Handbook, exercising sound judgment and serving the best interests of the agency and the communityWork within the framework of the agency’s mission, vision, values, theory of change, and organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, restorative justice, trauma-informed work, and language justice.
