https://portal.cultureindex.com/public/survey/general/6E6B8A0000 The Assistant Chief Housekeeper will be directly responsible for the handling of all luggage, packages and supplies.

They will be responsible for the interior maintenance of all public spaces on the vessel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Work closely with other Department Heads and Hotel Director to ensure all luggage, packages and supplies are delivered to their proper and secure place.

* Provide training and ensure effective implementation of all luggage, package and supply delivery procedures.

* Responsible for the training of personnel on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures for all public areas including restrooms and storage areas.

* Responsible for the cleanliness of all brass, windows, chandeliers, dusting and vacuuming of all public spaces.

* Responsible for the set-up and breakdown of all activities and functions for the Food and Beverage Department.

* Responsible for the safety and execution of the garbage off the vessel * Responsible for the training and the assistance of passengers that are handicapped * Responsible for training and the execution of removing and receiving laundry * Responsible for the training and execution of all equipment, carpet shampooers, steam extractors, floor buffers, brooms, mops and all other equipment used by your department * Responsible for the safe and sanitary work environment per Company Policy, the United States Coast Guard and other applicable agencies and departments.

* Must attend all department management meetings * Responsible for the minor maintenance of regularly used equipment * Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by my supervisor * Manning fire/emergency station and lifeboat station as assigned * Trains and completes certification for RESPECT system of existing and new employees within 7 days of hiring * Holds all employees and leaders equally accountable to meet technical, employee and leader standards * Promotes RESPECT system: reinforces performance at or above standards and coaches performance below standard * Solicits feedback; takes action to continuously improve success of team * Make hospitality standards an important part of day-to-day duties * Participate and ensure participation of all USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures as directed * Performs other duties if required since above stated describe only a regular working day and may not be inclusive of every task needed to achieve results Requirements & Qualification Education: * HS Diploma or Equivalent Required * Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or other related field preferred Professional Certification(s) or License: * Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
– if applicable, and/or ability to obtain and maintain * Copy of DD214, if Veteran status Skills & Abilities: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be fluent in English * Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a pleasant and professional manner * Proficiency with MS Office applications * Ability to train and supervise employees * Ability to use independent judgment and discretion * Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency response * Logically and independently plan, organize and complete work assignments * Must maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance Experience: * Three to five years of experience in position with similar duties and responsibilities * Cruise industry experience preferred Other: * Must be at least 21 years of age.

* Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the USCG including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing.
