By combining our expert professional technicians, commercial best practices, extensive facilities knowledge and strong commitment to reliable, responsive service, we enable our government clients to achieve consistently high-performance facilities, on-time projects and long-term value.Job Title: Safety and Health Officer(SHO)Job Summary:EMCOR Government Services is seeking a talented Safety and Health Officer (SHO)for Operations and Maintenance Services supporting Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center at Nellis AFB, Nevada. The SHO will serve as the primary point of contact for the contractor’s safety management program and be responsible for all aspects of the management and administration of the program. The SHO to be responsible for all O&M activities supported as part of this task order.* This position is contingent upon contract award. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Serve as the primary point of contact for the contractor’s safety management program and be responsible for all aspects of the management and administration of the program* Responsible for development, implementation, and monitoring of Safety and Health Program to assure all staff have a work environment that is free from any recognized hazards.* Ensure safety program meets contract requirements.* Perform safety inspections and audits on maintenance, repair, and project work.* Review safety incidents and investigate accidents, report findings, and manage corrective actions.* Conduct site safety training on processes, procedures, and reporting protocols.* Maintain Safety and Health Program and update documentation on processes, procedures, roles, and responsibilities as required.* Provide monthly inspection reports, including findings and any identified deficiencies, and analyze data for trends.* Maintain required safety records, including completed training, incident records, safety data sheets (SDS), OSHA log recordkeeping, and workers’ comp forms.* Identify areas of improvement and provide best practice recommendations.* Identify and track corrective actions through resolution.* Update safety documentation in customer’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).* Coordinate closely with project team in identifying trends, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.Qualifications:* OSHA 30-hour training certificate or training card* Resume or certificates demonstrating, for a minimum of the last five (5) years continuous, the SHO has maintained competencies through 8-hours of formal safety and health related training per year* Resume demonstrating five (5) years of continuous safety experience in supervising or managing general industry/construction/O&M, including managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls.* Experience writing activity hazard analysis is desired.We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
