Career Opportunity: Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada is seeking a Medical Assistant/Medical Office Scheduler at the Northwest clinic in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful health care organization.

The essential functions for the Medical Assistant/Medical Office Scheduler include the following: Obtains and documents vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms Assists physicians with exams and procedures Draws blood Administers SQ and IM Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN Checks patients out after examination Schedules returning appointments in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines and provides patients with appointment details such as time, location, directions, instruction sheets, and other details Assists in scheduling patients for services with outside facilities Records patient cancellations and missed appointments and reschedules appointments Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum three years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting Two years prior experience scheduling in a medical office Phlebotomy experience required Current CPR certification required Nevada Office Lab Assistant certification required Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel) required Successful candidates will thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and have a passion for working with and providing assistance to patients.
