Medical Assistant I (Outpatient)

About
Clinical Neurology Specialists (CNS) is one of the leading outpatient adult neurology practices in Southern Nevada. Nevadas first physician-owned outpatient EDX Labs to achieve exemplary status rating by American Academy of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM).

Having established outpatient offices in Las Vegas and and Henderson, Nevada, CNS has been serving the Las Vegas Valley community and surrounding areas for over 20 years.

Responsibilities:
Under the direction and supervision of a provider, assists with performing patient care and coordination of care activities.

Maintains EDX equipment and medical supplies, stocking and cleaning/sanitizing between exams. Maintains examination room organization and cleanliness.

Performs administrative duties such as, but not limited to, intake paperwork, scanning documents, chart prep, answering phones, scheduling appointments (when needed), data entry, and patient care coordination.

Within scope of position, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgments and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

Credentials:

  • Basic Life Support
  • Registered Medical Assistant a plus
  • Certified Medical Assistant a plus

Other information:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
  • Minimum Experience: 1 or more years experience as a healthcare worker in an ambulatory care setting

Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience and training/certifications.
