Public Area Manager

n n nnThis position is located in Las Vegas, NVnn nn The Public Area Manager reports to and assist the Director of Public Area and/or the Vice President of Hotel Operations.

Candidate must be able to effectively manage assigned operational functions, consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the Public Area Department and Hotel Division.

Must provide input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of departmental & property wide procedures.

Candidate will be responsible for consistently maintaining and promoting the highest level of cleanliness standards throughout the entire property, front and heart of house.

nn nn Job Focus: nn nn n Focus is on, but not limited to the following: nn Responsible for guiding and developing Public Area Supervisory team, as well as oversite of all casino porters, utility porters, and internal maintenance porters.

Will be involved in scheduling, payroll, and administrative functions; including inventory and understanding par levels of operating supplies for the department.

Responsible for training of new hires and measure growth and development within their probationary period, and further developing, thereafter.

Conducts Performance Reviews, as well as corrective counseling Ensures that company policies and collective bargaining agreement articles are adhered to and enforced.

Must have the ability to individually problem solve, demonstrate the ability to be a great player which includes subordinates and the Leadership team alike.

Ability to both manage but more importantly have the capacity to Lead employees.

Ability to remain flexible with change, work any shift and available 7 days a week including Holidays.

nn Desired Qualifications: nn Minimum (3) years Public Area experience within the hospitality industry and/or within similar position(s).

Experience with and knowledge of Culinary Union and collective Bargaining agreements.

Experience with Step-One process; Culinary Union certification preferred.

Experience in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel preferred Able to work variable shifts if needed Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Knowledge of and ability to operate floor care equipment, and usage of chemicals Must perform job functions with attention to detail, appropriate speed and accuracy Able to multi-task Requires good communications skills, both verbal and written n n
