Landscape Architect / Project Manager

We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager / Landscape Architect to join our Community Development Team.

The successful candidate will work directly with the Community Development practice, including Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering disciplines and Business Lines.

You will work closely with our Las Vegas Principal, manage projects, assist with designs, construction documents and construction administration in Nevada and in the US West region.

As a Project Manager / Landscape Architect, you will work in a team environment and lead the planning and design of parks and recreation facilities; Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) aesthetic enhancement projects; as well as master planned communities including mixed-use.

Your Key Responsibilities

Manage projects

Create exhibits, master plans and construction documents

Assist with proposal preparation

Oversee support staff on projects

Assist and support public agencies, and private development projects

Staff mentorship and inter-office collaboration throughout the West Region

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Experience with public and private sector client

NDOT and park and recreation experience preferred

Commitment to a team driven environment are key capabilities, including an ability to communicate effectively, help lead project, develop strong internal relationships, and foster a culture of collaboration

Desire and the ability to lead and contribute on multiple levels within the design process

Excellent creative and critical thinking skills

Ability to integrate sustainability in all aspects of planning and design

Excellent verbal and presentation skills

Proficient in AutoCAD, InDesign, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.

Microstation and LandFX experience preferred

Possesses excellent time management skills and has a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources

Thorough understanding of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions and how they apply to design projects

Good driving record and valid driver’s license required.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.

Minimum of 4-8 years of experience.

Licensure as a Landscape Architect in Nevada.

Candidate’s work experience should demonstrate appropriate level of responsibility, superior customer service and communication skills both written and graphic.

Local travel will be required for attending client or public meetings, scoping new assignments, and participating in internal meetings with staff in Community Development.
