Employ journey level knowledge of electrical equipment including but not limited to; switchboards, transformers, panelboards, interior/exterior lighting and lighting control systems and motor control. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair each system using modern test equipment. Perform electrical installations both new and remodel. Order parts and materials as appropriate. Ensure required documents, records and inventory are maintained in accordance with established standards. Responsible for thoroughness and accuracy of daily timesheets, work orders, leave requests, overtime sheets, etc. Coordinate with the Electrician Supervisor in both maintaining and monitoring stock inventory. Ensure compliance with Department, University, Federal, State and County regulations. Properly log required information such as documentation for the State Public Works Board. Exhibit overall professionalism, efficiency and thoroughness. A work environment focused on customer service. Participate in structured shop meetings. Professionally interact with the campus community to understand their needs. Ensure work performance of repairs, maintenance, or other functions support the fastest response time possible for our customers. Understanding priorities can and will change rapidly. As they do, adapt to the new priorities.
