System Support Specialist

This is a Contract position in Las Vegas, NV posted May 11, 2022.

JOB PURPOSE:Work diligently and courteously to ensure all Acme end users have the technical tools, knowledge, and connectivity they need to operate their business.Act as the main point of contact for end user issues related to software, hardware, and network access.

Troubleshoot and document reported problems and resolve in a timely manner.

Maintain existing systems (including business applications, network infrastructure, and connectivity) to ensure stability, security, and availability of resources.

Lead projects or complete tasks as assigned to increase capabilities and functionality of internal systems as well as integrations with outside services.Salary is negotiable based on experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers including thorough and appropriate communication with company personnel.Successfully communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical personnel in such a way as both can understand.Participate in basic and intermediate-level technical troubleshooting and act as escalation resource for incidents and problems with outside vendors.Manage assigned tickets, activities and projects and ensure all activity is properly and thoroughly documented.Ensure the resolution of customer issues in a timely fashion.Ensure that required communication with company personnel regarding outages, updates, status changes, maintenance windows, etc.

are performed appropriately.Participate in meetings for departmental, process, and project planning as required.Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software and all configurations.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software or other network and system problems and replace defective components when necessary.Plan, coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware.Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.Train company personnel in computer system use and best practices.
