Title: Cust Care Rep I

Location: Las Vegas, NV – temporarily work-from-home due to COVID

Assignment Dates:  9/19/2022 to 3/31/2023 – for Open Enrollment period-4 months –conversion to perm is a possibility

Salary: $17.36 / hour (GET PAID EVERY FRIDAY)

Company: Healthcare Corporation

Hours:  Shift is:  must be willing to work either of the two shifts between 9:30am – 6pm PST or 8:30am – 5pm PST. Monday-Friday with potential weekends during peak season.

Training is 9:30am-6:00pm and in virtual classroom working from home for the first 8 weeks. 

Interviews: Interviewing will take place right away, video interviews are preferred via Microsoft Teams or WebEx for 30 minutes


Job description: 

Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions. Operates a PC/image station to obtain and extract information; documents information, activities and changes in the database. Thoroughly documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis. Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues. Provides external and internal customers with requested information. Under immediate supervision, receives and places follow-up telephone calls / e-mails to answer customer questions that are routine in nature. Uses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting. Requires a HS diploma or equivalent; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Previous customer service in a call center or an automated customer service environment preferred.

The Associates in this role are expected to have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills. Able to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists, and managers on non-basic issues. Primary duties may include but are not limited to: Responds to internal and external customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility and claims.

Ideal candidate:

Have Call Center/Customer Service Experience at least one year

Must understand some healthcare terminology

Must have a space away from anyone in their household due to HIPPA laws

Must have internet service already in place

Must be able to talk back and forth with members / Looking for individuals who have the fortitude to weather the storm Looking for resourceful individuals in this remote environment. 

Computer savvy – ability to toggle through multiple systems Great customer service skills Medical experience/ability to work with this population Customer service background isn’t required but should be able to show these skills Team


Completely virtual training – all candidates must meet internet requirements (outline is available in Fieldglass reference library if needed) Training will be via Webex – contractors must be in a professional environment (i.e. sitting at a table/desk) without disruptions Training is 6 week training with about 2-week OTJ training from a virtual expectation with trainer (may vary based on the size of the class)
