The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the Las Vegas, Nevada region. You might be a good fit for this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. – Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

– Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

– Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

– Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

– Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

– Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

– Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties

– Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations

– Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation

– Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

– Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

Job Requirements:
– Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

– Strong attention to detail

– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

– Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

– Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

– Earlier work involving Annual Physical Inventory

– Payroll experience preferred

– Analyze Financial Statements experience highly desired

– Comprehension of Inventory Audits

– Experience with inventory controls

– Proficiency in Inventory Valuation

– Expertise in Inventory Tracking

– Previous experience working with inventory

– Hands-on experience with inventory management

– General familiarity with Raw Material Inventory

– Demonstrated knowledge of Equipment Inventory

– Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

– Foundational knowledge in Track Inventory

– General familiarity with Consolidated Financial Statements

– Practical knowledge of Raw Materials

– Practical knowledge of Financial Statement Audits

– Deep understanding of Full Cycle Payroll

– Prior experience with Inventory Planning

– Inventory analysis experience highly valued

– Good understanding of Fixed Asset Inventory

– Background working with Annual Inventory

– Finished Products experience highly preferred

– Adeptness in Annual Audited Financial Statements

– Experience with in-house payroll

– Demonstrated knowledge of Audited Financial Statements

– Inventory Reconciliation experience desired

– Adeptness in Payroll Tax

– Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

– Inventory planning & reporting experience preferred

– Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

– Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

– 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

– Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

– Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

– Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the “why”
