Financial Analyst – Entry-Level – Las Vegas, NV

The purpose of this entry-level position is to assist in the preparation and analysis of sales contract activity used in forecasting expected growth and provided to investors. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to take on progressively diverse tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly sales contract metrics, including:
    • Total contracts signed
    • Calculate Total Contract Value (TCV) signed, including:
    • Monthly Recurring Charges (MRC)
    • Non-Recurring Charges (NRC)
    • Weighted average contract term
    • New vs existing customer contract metrics
  • Assist in preparation of the monthly and quarterly report summaries, including:
    • Incremental revenue bookings
    • Cabinets, kilowatts, and cross-connects sold
    • Calculate changes to MRC run-rate on renewal contracts
  • Prepare TCV reports distributed to Switch executives and used in quarterly investor presentations
  • Assist with other analyses as requested by Finance team members
  • Responsible for staying abreast of best practices both internally and externally


Other Duties:

  • Performs all other duties, tasks and projects as assigned


Required Job Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel modeling required
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

  • Ability to communicate with internal customers and all levels of staff
  • Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary

  • Team-oriented professional with a “roll-up his/her sleeves” attitude, who supports and promotes a team effort and celebrates team successes


Computer Equipment and Software:

  • Thorough working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Salesforce, and/or database/accounting software a plus
  • Experience with Reports Now a plus


Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or Computer Science.

Experience:
1–3 years OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
