Accountant I – Temp

This is a Full-time position in Las Vegas, NV posted May 29, 2022.

JOB SUMMARY:

The role of a chargebacks accountant is to serve as the liaison between the company and credit card merchant companies to facilitate guest disputes. The chargeback accountant oversees credit card charges backs and provides responses to support why original charge is legitimate.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Supervise assigned accounts to identify unresolved chargebacks
  • Respond to client account queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow-up with merchant services on why chargebacks being declined
  • Research and implement effective chargebacks submittal techniques
  • Keep accurate records and reporting on daily activity
  • Communicate with internal customers on open balances for any required additional information
  • Proactively work with internal teams such as front desk to acquiring back-up before sending out dispute back-up
  • Provide progress updates to management
  • Communicate and maintain strong working relationships with AR team, billing team, sales team and individual property

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of chargeback process
  • Outstanding oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Administrative and analytical skills
  • Detail and customer service oriented, both internal and external
  • Advance computer skills, ERP systems and MS office
  • Excellent judgment with ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Posse excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Team player and ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to remain calm and have patience under pressure
